I’ve been wanting to create a blog about us for a long time. With family members all over – Chile, Miami, Charlotte, Boston, Boca Raton, Fort Myers, New Orleans, Philly, New York and New Jersey – it gets complicated to keep in touch. A blog allows us to communicate with all of you in a more streamlined fashion, more often and at the same time hear from you!
Now you don’t have to wait until Christmas to hear from us! Wait….maybe you were liking that!
In any case, you will need to create a Worpress account to comment and I sincerely hope this is not a hurdle for you not to come around. For those of you in Facebook, I will link the blog to my Facebook account so you can also comment there (though I prefer you to comment here).
So what is a blog you ask? Well it is a diary; while not necessarily daily it will allow us to share our lives with you and make if feel like we are not all spread around. Instead it will make us feel like we all live in the same street. What will I blog about? Well this and that, happenings, food, festivities, recipes, special events, and PICTURES of course! Imagine the newsletter on steroids!
Why Moros con Cristianos? That one is easy; have you taken a look at our family composition? Cubans, Portuguese, Spanish, Cambodian, American, Jewish, Italian, Chilean…..we are a mix, and so it seemed appropriate that since this was my idea (and I’ll probably be the one blogging the most) that the name should be in Cuban spanish.
Welcome again and I hope you visit and comment often.

Hola Adriana,
I loved the blog and the Recipes! I look forward to keeping in touch and finding new things on your page.
Is there an email you can be reached at? I didn’t find one…
Gracias!

I think you typed in the email wrong….so I corrected it and emailed you!
I have never met anyone like me. I am half cuban and half chilean-Cheers!
Irma, I have met people like you! Actually while in Miami one of my temps was a young man from NY who was half Cuban and half Chilean!
